Founded in 2014, North Shore Jiu Jitsu is a surf-inspired Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club, based in Newquay, Cornwall.

Second-degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Nick Tiscoe is the head coach at North Shore – a club which welcomes people from all affiliations & backgrounds. Nick has lineage under Kev Capel of Roger Gracie Academy in Buckinghamshire & he is a sponsored athlete with Aesthetic Fightwear. Since 2022, North Shore is located off Tor Road in central Newquay.

North Shore is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & surfing lifestyle brand. Inspired by the North Shore of Oahu & residing on Cornwall’s north coast, TR7 North Shore celebrates the closely connected cultures of surfing & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. #surfjitsu

SURFJITSU

We welcome teams and individuals from all affiliations to come and enjoy a weekend of surfing and BJJ with us. Surfing is a great way to balance the body and cool down after a tough training session. Surfing and BJJ have enjoyed a long and colourful history with top competitors from both sports enjoying the crossover.
